SHERIDAN, Mo. – Residents around the West Fork Grand River Bridge on Route 46 may have seen workers at that location in the past week. The bridge, located on Route 46 between Routes A and B, between Sheridan and Grant City, is going to be replaced this year.
Contractors from Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc. of Columbia, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, began preliminary, off-road work, on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Workers and equipment will be present daylight to dusk Monday through Friday. Motorists should exercise caution when driving through the area.
The project will continue through the end of July and will include a full closure of Route 46. That closure is currently planned for mid to late June and should last approximately 30 days.
All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
