MoDOT Holding Online Public Meeting for Phelps County Route 68 Project

SAINT JAMES, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding an online public meeting to share information about an upcoming project on a section of Route 68 from Interstate 44 to the east junction of Missouri Route 8 within the city of St. James.

Information about the project is available at www.MoDOT.org/Central/Route68StJames.htm.

The project, which is a cost-sharing partnership between MoDOT and the city of St. James, will include a surface treatment that will extend the life of the pavement. Work will begin as early as May 2017 and will be completed by October of 2017. Traffic will be maintained on the route during the majority of construction. One-lane closures will be required periodically during the project.

An online comment form is also available on the project website for anyone who would like to provide feedback. The public comment period runs through Monday, March 20.

If you would like more information about the project, please contact Transportation Project Manager Danica Stovall-Taylor at (573) 526-8099 or Danica.Stovall-Taylor@modot.mo.gov.
