Greene County Route H/South Dry Sac Creek Bridge Project

March 16 Public Meeting CANCELLED

Greene County – A public meeting planned for March 16 for the upcoming replacement of the Greene County Route H bridge over the South Dry Sac Creek north of Springfield has been CANCELLED, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

A change in the contractor’s schedule has resulted in the postponement of the bridge project until mid-summer. 

When a new start date is determined, MoDOT will work with the contractor to reschedule a public meeting to provide project timelines.

Project Information:

  • Replace existing bridge with a new structure
  • New bridge raised two feet higher than existing bridge. Route H also will be raised to meet the new bridge.
  • New bridge will be 32 feet wide, with two 11-foot driving lanes and five-foot shoulders
  • New bridge will be 45 feet longer than existing bridge
  • Route H will be CLOSED to traffic for approximately four months once construction begins
  • Project completion: Dec. 1, 2017
  • Prime contractor: Lehman Construction, California
  • Construction cost: $654,475
