CLAY COUNTY – Due to weather conditions, crews for The Missouri Department of Transportation have rescheduled work on the new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210. Crews will close the off ramp from I-435 northbound to Route 210 eastbound from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly from Tuesday, March 28 to Thursday, March 30 for asphalt pavement work.
In addition, crews will close the on ramp from Route 210 westbound to I-435 northbound from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly from Tuesday, March 28 to Thursday, March 30 for asphalt pavement work. Work was originally planned for Monday, March 27 and Tuesday, March 28.
Motorists will need to find alternate routes. All work is weather dependent.
This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the twin bridges on I-435 over Route 210 and widening I-435.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
