MACON – Weather permitting, April 10, a resurfacing project is planned to begin on U.S. Route 36 in Macon County. The project will begin on Eastbound U.S. 36 beginning 0.50 mile west of Macon County Route C at Bevier to 0.10 mile east of Kellogg Avenue east of Macon. Work will also be performed on Westbound U.S. 36 beginning 0.80 mile east of U.S. 63 at Macon and continue to 1.7 miles west of Route O at Bevier.
Chester Bross Construction, of Palmyra, Missouri, was awarded the contract for $3,833,653.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane at various locations along the project between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic control will be in place alerting motorists of the work. Please use caution if you travel through this area, and obey all work zone signs and personnel.
