Road Work for Mid-Missouri

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of April 3–14, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Crews will perform pavement repair work in the eastbound and westbound lanes between the Missouri River Bridge and U.S. 63 nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, weather permitting.  One lane of traffic will be open through the overnight hours, and signs will guide motorists through the work zone. 

Interstate 70 between mile marker 127 and mile marker 129 – Sign maintenance in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Monday, April 10 through Wednesday, April 12. One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.

Route 124 between Route 63 and Route E – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 163 over Hinkson Creek south of Mick Deaver Drive – Bridge maintenance in the northbound lanes will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One northbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route Z between Interstate 70 and Business Route 124 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route HH over Hinkson Creek, west of Deer Valley Lane – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route UU over Crows Fork Creek, east of County Road 101 – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-April.

Daylight Hours
Route D between Interstate 70 and Route 94 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between Route C and Route CC – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route UU between Route O and County Road 101 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Wednesday, April 5; Thursday, April 6; and Monday, April 10. The road will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route UU between Route JJ and County Road 101 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 10 through Thursday, April 13. The road will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County – Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway is underway. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late May.

Route 54 between Route 7 and Cecil Street – Pedestrian improvements are underway. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Route H between Route 7 and Route BB in Laclede County – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 50/63 between Shamrock Road and the Osage River Bridge – Roadway maintenance in the eastbound/southbound lanes and the westbound/northbound lanes will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route D between Route 87 and Route O in Moniteau County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O between Route H and Route J – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 19 over Crooked Creek, south of Edgar Road – Bridge replacement is underway. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early June.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route H and the Phelps County Line – Pavement improvements in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 14. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 19 and Route AA in Washington County – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 8 between Route 19 and the Washington County line – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Glassey Road and Oak Hill Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route F between Interstate 44 and Route 19 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route UU between Interstate 44 and Argo Road – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County

Route 19 between Route 32 and Route A in Shannon County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County

Route 19 over Second Creek, south of Brakemeyer Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route N between Route 100 and Route J in Osage County – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Route 50 and Hollandsworth Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route 40 and Route J – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route F – Pavement repair in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 14. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.

Route B over Osage Fork, south of Creek Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route A and Business Loop 44 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route OO between Route 32 and Route 64A – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 42 over the Little Maries River, east of Route 133 – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late May.

Daylight Hours
Route T between Route 42 and Route AA in Osage County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route 54 and Route 134 – Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation will begin on Monday, April 10.
       * Westbound traffic will be detoured around the work area. Crews will flag eastbound traffic through the work area.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work. The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route 52 at Midway Road- Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, April 4 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 54 at Cave Drive - Roadway maintenance in the westbound lanes will take place Monday, April 3 through Wednesday, April 5. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route KK between Route 17 and Hickory Point Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 50 between Route 5 and Route B in Moniteau County – Roadway maintenance will take place on Monday, April 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 52 between Route 5 and Route Y in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening will begin on Monday, April 10. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route O between Route 5 and Dunwandrin Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 5 and Morgan Hill Road – Roadway maintenance will take place on Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route RA between Route 5 and Camp Hohn Road in Camden County – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route V between Interstate 44 and Hypoint Boulevard - Pavement improvements and grading continue.
      * Pavement replacement and guardrail installation are scheduled for the week of April 3. Occasional lane closures are likely through the work area.

Route 68 between Route 19 and Route YY in Phelps County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route D over the Gasconade River, east of Interstate 44 – Bridge inspection will take place on Monday, April 3. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route CC between Route 63 and County Road 7140 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 44 over Hooker Creek, west of Trophy Lane – Bridge inspection in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, April 4. One lane will be open through the work area.

Interstate 44 over the Roubidoux River, west of Superior Road – Bridge inspection in the eastbound lanes will take place on Wednesday, April 5. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route 133 between Route C and Route BB in Maries County – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, April 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 185 and the Crawford County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
