Traffic Alert: Crews Will Close Multiple Lanes and Ramps Along I-35 and I-670 Beginning April 3
JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close multiple lanes and ramps along on Interstate 35 and Interstate 670 beginning Monday, April 3, at 6:30 p.m. through Friday, April 7, at 6 a.m. These closures are for guardrail and roadside improvement work. The ramp closures may be accompanied by lane closures. All work is weather permitting.
- Ramp closure on I-35 northbound to Broadway (169 north) Exit 2Y on Monday, April 3, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Right Lane closure on I-35 northbound from 14th Street exit ramp to W. 14th Street on Monday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. through the following morning at 6 a.m.
- Right Lane closure on I-670 eastbound just past the I-35 split under the I-35 bridges on Tuesday, April 4, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Right Lane closure on I-670 eastbound from Summit Street to Broadway on Tuesday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Right Lane closure on I-670 westbound from Broadway to Summit Street on Tuesday, April 4, from 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Right Lane closure on I-670 eastbound from Locust Street to Charlotte Street at exit 2M (Ramp I-670 eastbound to US 71 southbound) on Wednesday, April 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Right Lane closure on I-670 eastbound from Charlotte Street to Troost Avenue on Wednesday, April 5, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
- Left Lane closure on I-670 eastbound from Charlotte Street to Troost Avenue on Thursday, April 6, from 7:30 p.m. through the following morning at 6 a.m.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
