Eastbound Route 54 at Route F near Fulton is down to one lane beginning today as crews replace a short stretch of pavement under the overpass there. The work, which will correct a drainage issue at the location, will last about three weeks. The shoulders in that area will also be replaced as part of the project.
Construction will begin in the eastbound left lane, then switch to the right lane. Temporary concrete barriers will separate traffic from the work. Most of the activity will take place during the day, but the lane closure will remain in place around the clock.
The work is part of a larger project that includes resurfacing portions of Route 54 between the Missouri River Bridge and Fulton.
