The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission today approved roadway and interchange improvements in two areas.
Phillips Hardy, Inc. was awarded the contract to replace the Routes J/M interchange bridge over Routes 50/63 in Jefferson City. The current bridge has structural deficiencies and needs to be replaced. The project is scheduled to begin this summer and will be completed in the fall. The bridge will be closed during construction to through traffic from Routes M and J. A detour will be signed on State maintained routes to guide traffic around the project. The contractor submitted the lowest bid of $1,259,328.
Meanwhile, Capital Paving and Construction, LLC. was awarded the contract to resurface and add shoulders to 19 miles of Route B in Cole, Miller and Osage counties, after submitting the low bid of $5,094,816. That project is also scheduled to take place this summer.
