Lane Closures along Route W (Bannister Road) from E. 95th Terrace to Grandview Road

Beginning April 10

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will CLOSE one lane in each direction on Route W (Bannister Road) from E. 95th Terrace to Grandview Rd beginning Monday, April 10 to prepare for a bridge rehabilitation project on the Blue River Bridge. All work is weather permitting.

Traffic will be reduced to ONE lane each direction during the bridge reconstruction that is scheduled to last through October. This stretch of Route W carries more than 24,000 cars daily and is a popular alternative route when traffic congestion becomes heavy in the Three Trails Crossing. If this corridor is part of your regular morning or evening commute routes, please consider alternative options or consider adjusting your arrival and departure scheduled to avoid peak travel times.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
