Construction Contract Awarded for Sidewalk Project in Springfield

Kearney Street between West Bypass and Kansas Expressway

Springfield – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a project to improve sidewalks along Kearney Street in Springfield to meet Americans with Disabilities standards, the Missouri Department of Transportation said. 

Here are the details: 

  • Kearney Street (Route 744) sidewalk improvements between West Bypass and Kansas Expressway in Springfield
    • Awarded to APAC-Central of Fayetteville, Ar., for a low bid amount of $519,111.75 

Construction on the project will start this summer and be completed by the fall. 

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission also approved similar projects in Sarcoxie and Wheaton in MoDOT’s Southwest Region.
