Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin putting a new deck on the Missouri Route 52 bridge over U.S. Route 54 in Eldon on Monday, April 10. The project also includes installing intersection lighting at the Route 54/52 interchange.
The deck construction will take place in two stages, allowing motorists traveling on eastbound Route 52 to travel across the bridge, while westbound traffic will be detoured on Routes 54 and 87. Eastbound and westbound lanes closures on Route 54 will take place periodically as part of the work.
The project is scheduled for completion in September. MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists while the work takes place.
