Pedestrian Improvements in Store in St. James

Sidewalks and signals along Missouri Route 68 in St. James will be improved this summer under a contract awarded the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission. The work will put existing deficient sidewalks in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It will also include the installation of crosswalks and pedestrian signals, and pavement improvements from Interstate 44 in St. James to Route 8.

N.B. West Contracting Company submitted the low bid of $862,382. Occasional temporary lane and entrance closures are possible in the work area during the project which will take place this summer.
