CLAY COUNTY – Due to recent weather conditions, crews for The Missouri Department of Transportation have rescheduled work on the new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210. Crews will close the off ramp from northbound I-435 to Route 210 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly on Monday, April 10 and again Tuesday, April 11 for asphalt pavement work.
In addition, crews will close the on ramp from Route 210 to northbound I-435 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly on Monday, April 10 and again Tuesday, April 11 for asphalt pavement work.
Work on both ramps was originally planned for Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7.
Motorists will need to find alternate routes. All work is weather dependent.
This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the twin bridges on I-435 over Route 210 and widening I-435.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
