CLAY COUNTY – Crews for the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the right lane of Route 210 westbound just before the ramp to northbound I-435 beginning Tuesday, April 25 and continuing through at least Sunday, June 25 for barrier installation and new pavement work. Access to the northbound I-435 ramp from Route 210 westbound will be closed (no right turn). Access to northbound I-435 from Route 210 eastbound will remain open. Motorists are being advised to detour to Randolph Rd. and then access I-435 off of Parvin Rd. All work is weather dependent.
This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the twin bridges on I-435 over Route 210 and widening I-435.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
