Route 76 Pavement Repair, Route 465 (Ozark Mountain Highroad)

Resurfacing Projects Near Branson Set to Begin Week of April 24

Stone/Taney Counties – Drivers can expect lane closings and crews and equipment on Route 76 and on Route 465 (Ozark Mountain Highroad) near Branson beginning the week of April 24, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will make repairs to the Route 76 pavement west of Route 465 between Branson and Branson West.

Once that project is complete, crews will move to the resurfacing project on Route 465.

Drivers can expect lane closings where crews are set up on both Route 76 and Route 465.

Drivers are urged to slow down and merge into the open lane, taking turns as they merge.

Here’s a look at the projects:

  • Route 76 west of Route 465: Make repairs to the asphalt pavement.  Only one lane at time will be closed during the work.
  • Route 465 between Route 76 and Route 65: Resurface all four lanes.  Only one lane at a time will be closed during the work.

The work will be done during daytime hours.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

Journagan Construction of Springfield will do the work for a low bid amount of $2.1 million.

The work is scheduled to be completed by November 1, 2017.  However, contractor crews expect to have the project completed by early to mid-July, barring any weather or construction delays.
