Lane Closure on I-35 in Clay County is Cancelled

CLAY COUNTY – Due to weather conditions, crews for the Missouri Department of Transportation have cancelled work scheduled for Saturday, April 29. A reschedule date has not been determined yet.

Originally, crews were scheduled to close the right lane of northbound I-35 between I-435 and Pleasant Valley Rd. from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29 to remove the old ramp one bypass.

This is all part of an effort to improve Interstate 35 from Vivion Rd. to Pleasant Valley Rd., including the Pleasant Valley Interchange, Church Rd., Sobbie Rd., Pleasant Valley Rd. and US 69. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
