POSTPONED: Road Work Planned for Route CC

BETHANY, Mo. – The planned surface improvements coming to Route CC in Harrison and Grundy counties will have to wait just a bit longer. Contractors from Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, planned to overlay Route CC beginning on Monday, May 1, but weather in northwest Missouri and around the region has delayed the project.

The contractor hopes to now begin the work on or around Tuesday, May 30. They plan to start at the south end at Route 146 in Grundy County. They will close the road in two mile segments beginning at approximately 7 a.m. As they complete each two mile segment, they will reopen it and move north. The project will continue to U.S. Route 136. This overlay will take several days. After the overlay, crews will sign and stripe the route. The project should take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Schedules are subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
