Correction: Bridge replacement work will cause 24/7 ramp closure in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY – Crews for the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the US 69 ramp to southbound I-35 at the intersection of North Lightbern St. and US 69 Highway from 7 p.m. Friday, May 12 through 6 a.m. Monday, May 15 for bridge replacement work. This will be a 24/7 closure. Motorists should allow ample time for travel delays at this location. Please use the detour route of northbound I-35 to 92 Highway at Kearney.

The original press release indicated the closure was at the US 69 ramp to southbound I-35 at the intersection of Glenn Hendren Dr. and US 69 Highway, which was incorrect. All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
