Lane Closures Scheduled for U.S. 24 from Route 291 to MO Highway 7 Beginning May 5

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have multiple, various single lane closures in various lanes along U.S. 24 between Route 291 and MO Highway 7 beginning Friday, May 5, at 3 p.m. through Monday, May 8, at 5 p.m.  The closures are for pavement repair and all work is weather permitting.

  • Eastbound U.S. 24 will have multiple, various single lane closures in various lanes from Route 291 to MO Highway 7 for pavement repairs.
  • Westbound U.S. 24 will have multiple, various single lane closures in various lanes from MO Highway 7 to Route 291 for pavement repairs.
  • Ramps at U.S. 24 and MO Highway 7 may be closed any time for pavement repairs.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
