CLAY COUNTY – Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the right turn lane from Route 210 westbound to I-435 northbound beginning 9 a.m. Monday, May 8 and continuing through Thursday, June 1 for Route 210 widening work. Motorists should follow the posted detour route to Randolph Rd. to Parvin Rd. for I-435 access. All work is weather dependent.
This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the twin bridges on I-435 over Route 210 and widening I-435.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
