CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will reduce southbound I-35 over 69 Highway to one lane with a lane width of 11’4” beginning Wednesday, May 10 and continuing through Thursday, August 31 for bridge replacement work. During that same time period, two lanes of northbound traffic will utilize the median cross-over, also with a lane width of 11’4”.
The lane reduction and cross-over traffic will be 24/7. Motorists should allow ample time for travel delays at this location. Please use alternate routes if possible. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
