Road Work for Mid-Missouri

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of May 8-19, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Crews will perform pavement repair work in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Route 763 (Rangeline Street) and St. Charles Road from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the week of May 8.  One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.


Route 63 at Interstate 70 – Pavement repair and resurfacing continues.
       *Crews will install pavement marking on the Route 63 Connector from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the week of May 8. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route AC over Route 63 – Bridge maintenance will take place Sunday, May 14 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 124 between Route 63 and Route NN – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Friday, May 12. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route B between Route 124 and Oakland Church Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route HH between Route B and Route Z – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Route D between Interstate 70 and Route 94 – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route UU over Crows Fork Creek, east of County Road 101 – Bridge deck replacement is complete. Occasional daytime lane closures are possible the week of May 8 due to grading operations.

Route UU between Route O and Route JJ – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Route 7 and Cecil Street – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County – Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late May.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 50/63 between Shamrock Road and the Osage River Bridge – Roadway resurfacing and intersection improvements are underway. 
       *Shamrock Road and Liberty Road on the south side of Route 50 and the median crossover at the intersection are closed. For Shamrock Road and Liberty Road traffic south of Route 50, access to Route 50 will be via Route M and the Route 50 and Route M interchange. Eastbound Route 50 traffic will access Shamrock Road on the north side of Route 50 by following eastbound Route 50 to the Militia Drive interchange and then taking westbound Route 50 to Shamrock Road.
The intersection is scheduled to be open to traffic by June 1. The entire project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route 179 west of Industrial Drive – Railroad crossing maintenance for Union Pacific Railroad will take place on Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 18. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17 until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 18. Traffic will be detoured around the area.


Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B over the Petite Saline Creek, south of Interstate 70 - Bridge deck replacement continues. The bridge is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 over the Lamine River, west of Route M – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Sunday, May 14 through Thursday, May 18. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M over Interstate 70 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 19 over Crooked Creek, south of Edgar Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to use signed detour routes around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early June.

Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 19 and the Phelps County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route N between Interstate 44 and Route 185 in Washington County – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route U between Route M and Meramec Farms Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 19 over Second Creek, south of Brakemeyer Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Daylight Hours
Route H between Route 19 and Route E – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Smith Road and Tea Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 124 between Route 240 and Route B in Boone County – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement will begin on Monday, May 8.
       *Sign installation is scheduled to take place the week of May 8. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route E between County Road 205 and County Road 305 – Culvert pipe maintenance will take place on Tuesday, May 9. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

 

Route W between Route EE and County Road 418 – Culvert pipe maintenance will take place on Thursday, May 11. The road will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Laclede County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 east of Route N – Maintenance in the median will take place on Monday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 9. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open in the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 68 over Coppedge Creek, east of Route H – Bridge deck rehabilitation continues. One lane is open, and a temporary traffic signal will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early June.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 52 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues.
       * Westbound traffic will be detoured around the work area. Crews will flag eastbound traffic through the work area.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work. The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route 17 between Route 42 and Route 52 – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 54 between Route V and Bear Lake Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route JJ between Route C and Bear Creek Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Business Route 54 at Bagnell Dam – Survey work by Ameren Missouri will take place Monday, May 8. The road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route D between Route U and Brush Creek Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route MM between Flag Spring Road and Pilot Grove Road – Culvert pipe maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 52 between Route 5 and Route Y in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder work continues. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route E between Route K and Smith Creek Road - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Route E and Excelsior Road - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Overnight Hours Interstate 44 between Route 63 and Route F in Crawford County – Roadway resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
       * Repairs in the eastbound lanes will take place the week of May 8. One lane will be open through the work area. 

Daylight Hours
Route F between Route 68 and County Road 3170 – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, north of Rustler Lane – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-July.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route C over Big River, west of Big River Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Route 185 and Route A – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 9 through Thursday, May 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
