MoDOT expects to reopen Route 141 under I-44 before Tuesday a.m. rush
ST. LOUIS – At this time, MoDOT anticipates reopening Route 141 under I-44 before the Tuesday, May 9, morning rush.
Although water is expected to recede sometime early Monday, crews have a lot of work to complete to get the roadway ready for traffic.
Crews have to move equipment that has shifted, make pavement and damaged wall repairs, replace signal equipment, clean the roadway and remove other debris. If weather permits, crews will also restripe the roadway.
Crews will be working through the day Monday to get the roadway ready, and are expected to have the roadway reopened before Tuesday morning’s rush period.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and to not move barricades out of the way, even if it appears that water has receded. Avoiding the area will help drivers stay safe and will allow crews to complete the needed work quickly and efficiently.
