JEFFERSON CITY – Work to extend the life of the pavement on Route 124 between Hallsville in Boone County and Fayette in Howard County will begin Monday, May 15.
Vance Brothers, a contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation, will chip seal the route. The work will take place each week day for the next three weeks, weather permitting. The contractor will begin at Hallsville and work to the west.
One lane will be open, and flaggers and a pilot car will lead drivers through the work zone.
