CLAY COUNTY – Crews will close the ramp from Route 210 eastbound to I-435 southbound beginning Wednesday, May 17 and will continue to Wednesday, May 24 for pavement widening work. Motorists traveling on Route 210 eastbound can still access I-435 southbound from the additional on-ramp located west of the interchange. Motorists traveling on Route 210 westbound will need to follow the posted detour and turn around at Searcy Creek in order to access I-435 southbound. All work is weather dependent.
This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the twin bridges on I-435 over Route 210 and widening I-435.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
