LEE’S SUMMIT – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the left lane of eastbound Colbern Rd. from just east of NE Town Center Dr. to NE Rice Rd. beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 13 for the removal of the concrete median strip on Colbern Rd.
The closure will remain in place for the duration of the bridge demolition and replacement of the north part of the Colbern Road Bridges over I-470 and Route 291. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
