MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT!

One Eastbound Lane of I-44 CLOSED 'Round the Clock East of Mount Vernon

Where: Eastbound I-44 at Williams Creek east of Mount Vernon between Route 39 and Route 174 (Mile Marker 48) 

When: Starting now (3:30 p.m. Monday, May 15) until late in the day on Tuesday, May 16 

What: MoDOT crews repairing bridge joint (small metal component of bridge driving surface that connects the bridge to the adjoining concrete pavement) 

Traffic Impacts: Eastbound I-44 will be reduced to one lane ‘round the clock.  Drivers can expect delays especially during morning and after rush hours.  Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the delays.  

Weather and/or work scheduling conflicts could postpone the project.
