REVISED SCHEDULE: Expect Two Lane Closures on I-49 Beginning May 23

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have two lane closures along northbound and southbound Interstate 49 beginning Tuesday, May 23, at 7 p.m. until the following morning at 5 a.m. These two lane closures are for bridge work and barrier construction. The anticipated closures for Wednesday, May 24, have been cancelled. Please see the revised schedule noted here. All work is weather permitting. 

  • Northbound I-49 will have two lanes closed from 163rd Street  to 155th Street beginning Tuesday, May 23, at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Southbound I-49 will have two lanes closed from Route 150 to 155th Street beginning on Tuesday, May 23, at 10 p.m. until the following morning at 5 a.m. 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
