Road Work to Take Place on Route 28 in Owensville June 5-7

Striping Operation from June 12-13

OWENSVILLE – Missouri Department of Transportation crews will chip seal Route 28 from Baker Road to Route Y on June 5, 6 and 7. Following the chip sealing, restriping will take place on June 12 and 13.

During the chip sealing operation, Route 28 between Baker Road and Route Y will be down to one lane. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic.

Chip sealing is a process that extends the pavement life. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area.

The restriping process from June 12-13 will be a moving operation. Motorists should be prepared for delays. Signs will be posted to notify travelers.
