Railroad Repairs Will Temporarily Close Missouri Route 79 in Ralls County

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, June 5 - 16, Chester Bross Construction will be doing repair work at the railroad crossing on Missouri Route 79 in Ralls County, near the Continental Cement Plant. The road will be closed at the crossing from 6:00 a.m. Monday, June 5 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 16.  This work is being performed by Continental Cement, under a permit from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Signs will be in place to alert motorists of the closure. Motorists need to use alternate routes during this time.

Other upcoming projects on Missouri Route 79 in Ralls County will be bridge work on Quarry Road, south of Continental Cement near Hannibal and Malaruni Creek, south of Ralls County Route E near Saverton. Missouri Route 79 will have closures for this bridge work beginning in mid-July.
