JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have multiple lane closures on Interstate 435 on the nights of Wednesday, May 31, and Thursday, June 1, from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. These closures are for the removal of catwalks from sign trusses that have been hit by oversized loads. All work is weather permitting.
- Lane closures scheduled for northbound I-435 south of Gregory from mile marker 68.8 to north of Sni-a-bar at mile marker 64.2 beginning Wednesday, May 31, from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the following morning.
- Lane closures scheduled on northbound I-435 south of Raytown Road from mile marker 65.0 to south of I-70 at mile marker 63.2 beginning Thursday, June 1, from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the following morning.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
