TRAFFIC ALERT: Crews Will Close Eastbound Lanes of I-670 from Summit Street through Troost Avenue Beginning June 2
JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the eastbound lanes of Interstate 670 through the south side of the downtown loop, from Summit Street through Troost Avenue beginning Friday, June 2, at 7:30 p.m. until Monday, June 5, at 5 a.m. The downtown loop and all ramps leading onto I-670 on the south side of the downtown loop will also be closed. Eastbound traffic may use eastbound I-70 and eastbound I-35 around the north side of the downtown loop. The closures are for roadway resurfacing and all work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
