KANSAS CITY – Missouri Department of Transportation crews will CLOSE Route 7 Bridge over Route 24 beginning June 5 for rehabilitation.
In addition, there will be NIGHTLY closures of Route 24 next week for bridge demolition. One lane of both eastbound and westbound Route 24 will be CLOSED from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. from June 5 through June 9. All traffic will be routed up the off-ramps and back onto the highway during the closures.
The Route 7 Bridge is scheduled to be complete in August in time for the school year. All work is weather dependent.
The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
