Multiple Lane Closures Scheduled for I-435 Beginning June 5

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have multiple lane closures along northbound Interstate 435 on the nights of June 5 and June 6 for the removal of catwalks from sign trusses. This work may impact travel time of Royals fans that are attending the games these evenings. All work is weather permitting. 

  • Multiple lane closures on northbound I-435 from mile marker 62.8 south of 23rd Street to mile marker 59.6 south of 24 Highway on Monday, June 5 from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • Multiple lane closures on northbound I-435 from mile marker 60.8 south of 24 Highway to mile marker 56.6 at the beginning of the Missouri River Bridge on Tuesday, June 6, from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the following morning. 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
