CLAY COUNTY – Several phases of road work are set to take place as part of the Route 210 and I-435 Interchange Improvement Project. All work is weather dependent.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will perform the following work:
Crews will close the left lane of eastbound Route 210 at I-435 from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 9 for temporary asphalt work.
Crews will close the left lane of westbound Route 210 at I-435 from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, June 9 for setting temporary barriers.
Crews will reduce eastbound and westbound Route 210 to one lane at I-435 from 7 p.m. Sunday, June 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, June 12 for pavement marking work.
Crews will reduce eastbound Route 210 one lane at I-435 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, June 12 for setting temporary barriers.
Crews will reduce westbound Route 210 on lane at I-435 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, June 12 for setting temporary barriers.
This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the twin bridges on I-435 over Route 210 and widening I-435.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
