JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have various and multiple lane closures on northbound Interstate 49 from 163rd Street to Highway 150 beginning Monday, June 12, at 5 a.m. through Thursday, June 22, at 3 p.m. These various lane closures are to the repair bridge deck. All work is weather permitting.
Crews will reduce northbound I-49 to two lanes from 163rd Street to Highway 150 beginning Monday, June 12, at 5 a.m. through Thursday, June 15, at 3 p.m. to repair the bridge deck in the left lane.
I-49 will be reduced to one lane from 163rd Street to Highway 150 beginning Friday, June 16, at 9 p.m. to Sunday, June 18, at 6 a.m. to repair the bridge deck in the center lane.
Crews will reduce northbound I-49 to two lanes at 163rd Street to Highway 150 beginning Sunday, June 18, at 6 p.m. to Thursday, June 22 at 3 p.m. to repair the bridge deck in the right lane.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
