JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will have multiple lane and ramp closures along Interstate 35 beginning Friday, June 23. Please see the schedule below for exact dates, times, and locations of the closures. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. These lane closures are for roadway resurfacing and all work is weather permitting.
- The southbound lanes of I-35 as well as the ramps leading onto I-35 from Broadway through I-670 (through the west side of the downtown loop) will be closed for roadway resurfacing beginning Friday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. through Monday, June 26, at 5 a.m.
- The northbound lanes of I-35 as well ramps leading onto I-35 from I-670 through Broadway (through the west side of the downtown loop) will be closed for roadway resurfacing beginning Friday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m. through Monday, July 10, at 5 a.m.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
