JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation have multiple lane and ramp closures along Interstate 35 beginning Tuesday, June 20. For the exact dates and locations, please read on. These closures are for resurfacing work and all work is weather permitting.
- There will be a ramp closure for eastbound I-670 to southbound I-35, a ramp closure for westbound I-670 to southbound I-35, and a ramp closure for southbound I-35 to 20th Street on both Tuesday, June 20, and Wednesday, June 21, between 7:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. These closures are resurfacing work and will be accompanied with lane closures.
- There will be a ramp closure for eastbound I-70 to southbound I-35, a ramp closure for southbound I-35 to 12th Street, and a right lane closure on southbound I-35 just before the eastbound I-70 to southbound I-35 ramp through the 12th Street ramp. The lane and ramp closures will occur on Wednesday, June 21, and Thursday, June 22, between 7:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. The closures are for resurfacing work and will be accompanied with lane closures.
- There will be a ramp closure for westbound I-670 to northbound I-35, a ramp closure for northbound I-35 to 12th Street, and a right lane closure on northbound I-35 from the I-670 split through the 12th Street Ramp. The ramp closures will occur on Thursday night, June 22, between 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closures are for resurfacing work and will be accompanied with lane closures.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
