U.S. Route 61 Big Creek Bridge Update

HANNIBAL – The southbound U.S. Route 61 bridge over Big Creek at the Lincoln and St. Charles County line will be widened and have a deck replacement this summer. Construction will begin on Thursday, June 22 (previously it was Monday, June 19), and the majority of the work will occur overnight. U.S. 61 will be one lane between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday and Friday nights, then open to two narrow lanes.  The John Creech median crossover also will close Thursday night and remain closed throughout the project.  Read previous news release for more details.
