Nixa, Christian County – Two projects to widen sections of Route 14 (Mount Vernon Street) in Nixa are the focus of a public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The public is invited to attend the come-and-go style meeting to learn more and provide input on the plans to add lanes to Mount Vernon Street west of Route 160 between Westminster Street and Estes Street and east of Route 160 between Fort Street and Tiffany Boulevard.
The meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at the Nixa City Hall, 715 W. Mount Vernon Street. NO FORMAL PRESENTATION IS PLANNED.
At the in-person meeting, MoDOT representatives will be available to talk with area residents about the impacts of the projects, answer questions and take comments.
Those unable to attend the in-person meeting can view exhibits, get project timeline information and make comments about the projects by visiting an online public meeting at www.modot.org/southwest. The information will be posted on the MoDOT Southwest District’s website by the afternoon of June 27.
