MILAN, Mo. – A smoother driving surface for Route C in Sullivan County has been delayed. Contractors from W.L. Miller Company of Hamilton, Illinois, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, planned to begin resurfacing Sullivan County Route C on Tuesday, June 20, but were unable to begin the work.
Resurfacing is now scheduled to begin Monday, June 26, and should take approximately two weeks to complete. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. There will be single lane closures around the work.
This resurfacing project also includes Route B in Mercer County, and Routes 149 and W in Putnam County. The work on Route B has already been completed. After Route C, they will move to the two routes in Putnam County. The start date for the Putnam County routes has not been determined yet. The contractor plans to have all work completed by the end of August, weather permitting.
Schedules are subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
