BOONE COUNTY – Resurfacing work on Interstate 70 will restrict access to the I-70 eastbound on-ramp at the Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) Diverging Diamond Interchange from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27 in Columbia.
The restrictions at the Stadium Boulevard Diverging Diamond Interchange on Tuesday evening are:
- Motorists traveling south on Stadium Boulevard from Route E will not have access to the eastbound I-70 on-ramp in the Diverging Diamond Interchange. Drivers will have to seek alternate access to eastbound I-70 during the overnight hours.
- Motorists traveling north on Stadium Boulevard who want to merge onto eastbound I-70 will be down to a single-file lane in the on-ramp.
- One lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed in the area near Stadium Boulevard during the work. Motorists using the eastbound I-70 entrance ramp from the Diverging Diamond Interchange are to be aware that they will be merging onto a single lane of I-70.
Message boards and signs will notify drivers of the work. MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists during the project. All scheduled work is weather permitting.
The work is part of the I-70 resurfacing project in Boone County from the Missouri River Bridge near Rocheport to the Lake of the Woods near Columbia.
