Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Officially Open Intersection

Improvements at Route 7/13 in Clinton July 7

Clinton - A ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the official opening of the intersection improvements at Missouri Route 7/13 in Clinton, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, July 7, near the new entrance on the south side of Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, 1600 N. 2nd Street in Clinton.

A new right-in-right-out entrance to Gaines Drive was completed and opened to traffic in May.

The $267,000 project provides improved access to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for the community and for emergency responders.

The cost of the project was shared by the City of Clinton, the hospital and MoDOT.

The city used federal highway funds administered by MoDOT to pay for its share of the project.

Project information:

  • Provides right-in-right out access from northbound Missouri Route 7/13 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital
  • Better access to hospital for the community
  • Allows for better response times to and from the hospital for emergency responders
  • Cost of project shared by City of Clinton, Golden Valley Memorial Hospital and MoDOT
  • Project completed in only eight months and seven percent under budget
  • Total cost of the project: $267,000
