Traffic Delays Expected as Route 7/Osage River

Bridge Rehab Project in Warsaw Begins Week of July 10

Benton County – Drivers using Missouri Route 7 in Warsaw can expect delays and lane closings when a project to rehabilitate the Osage River bridge begins the week of July 10, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will remove the bridge deck/driving surface and replace it one-half at a time.

Traffic impacts:

  • Starting the week of July 31, temporary traffic signals will regulate one-lane traffic across the bridge ‘round the clock until late October
  • Drivers can expect delays, narrowed driving lanes, and a reduced speed limit
  • Drivers are urged to consider alternate routes around the project

Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.

 Project information:

  • Prime contractor – Capital Paving and Construction LLC, Jefferson City
  • Total project cost: $1.85 million
  • Contract completion date: Oct. 20, 2017
