Resurfacing Project to Begin on U.S. Route 61 in Ralls County

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, beginning Monday, July 17, a resurfacing project is planned to begin on all four lanes of U.S. Route 61 in Ralls County. The project will begin at Warren Barrett Drive in Hannibal and end at half a mile south of Missouri Route 19 in New London and includes resurfacing the shoulders, as well as adding a right turn lane on southbound US 61 at Route HH, Trabue Lane.  On northbound US 61, a right turn lane will be installed at Ocean Wave Road, and a left turn lane at Route M.

Magruder Paving, LLC, of Troy, Missouri, was awarded the contract for $4,315,766.86.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane at various locations along the project between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please use caution if you travel through this area, and obey all work zone signs and personnel.
