Route J/M Overpass Work Near Taos Will Close One Lane of Route 50/63

JEFFERSON CITY – Work to install girders on the new Route J/M bridge over U.S. Route 50/63 near Taos will close one lane of Route 50/63 from Friday, July 7 through the morning of Sunday, July 9th.

Here is the schedule for the lane closures this weekend:

  • One lane of westbound Route 50/63 will be closed at the bridge from 3 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday.
  • One lane of eastbound Route 50/63 will be closed at the bridge from 3 p.m. Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday.

The following signed detour routes are in effect for Route J/M traffic:

  • Northbound traffic on Route M can access westbound Route 50/63 and Route J by taking eastbound Route 50/63 to Lisletown Road and accessing westbound Route 50/63.
  • Southbound traffic on Route J can access eastbound Route 50/63 and Route M by taking westbound Route 50/63 to Militia Drive and accessing eastbound Route 50/63.

The bridge is scheduled to reopen to traffic in mid-August.
