JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will CLOSE the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 from I-670 through Broadway (through the west side of the downtown loop) beginning Friday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m. through Monday, July 10, at 5 a.m. All ramps leading into I-35 on the west side of the downtown loop will be closed. Northbound traffic may use eastbound I-670 around the south side of the downtown loop. Motorists must use alternate routes. These lane closures are for roadway resurfacing and all work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
