Road Work for Mid-Missouri

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of July 10-21, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Pavement repair, guardrail repair and resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
       *Resurfacing in the eastbound lanes will take place the week of July 10. Guardrail work continues the week of July 10. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in spring 2018.

Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) between Route 163 (Providence Road) and College Park Drive - Roadway maintenance in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 21. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route 163 (Providence Road) between Mick Deaver Drive and Southampton Drive - Roadway maintenance in the northbound and southbound lanes will take place Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21. One northbound lane and one southbound lane will be open through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 over the Katy Trail, north of Jefferson City – Bridge deck replacement in the southbound lanes continues.
       * Southbound Route 63 traffic is being diverted into the northbound lanes with one lane open in both directions. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and watch for stopped traffic, backups and congestion.  The southbound bridge will be completed in mid-August.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route H over Davis Creek, east of County Road 329 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Route O over Crows Fork Creek, east of County Road 419 – Bridge deck replacement will begin on Monday, July 10. The road will be closed. Motorists are advised to use Route C, Route 94 and Route CC to detour around the work.

Daylight Hours
Route 94 between County Road 485 and County Road 4011 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route D between Route 94 and Route O - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Route D and the Montgomery County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route A over Dry Auglaize Creek, west of Richland – Bridge deck replacement is nearing completion. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
       * The McCubbins point public access area is open while the work takes place. The project is scheduled for completion in early July. 

Route A over Conns Creek, north of Richland – Bridge deck replacement is underway. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route, such as Route 7. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August. 

Route D over Bank Branch, south of Route 54 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August. 

Overnight Hours
Route 54 between Route 7 and Cecil Street – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County – Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route F between Route 5 and the end of state maintenance – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route V between Route 54 and Route 7 – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route V between Route 54 and Route 7 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route MM between Route HH and Route TT – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route TT between Route MM and Lakeview Resort Boulevard – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.


Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Routes J and M over Route 50 – Bridge replacement is underway. The road is closed.
       * Bridge girder installation will take place Friday, July 7 through Sunday, July 9. The work will close one westbound lane of Route 50 from Friday at 3 p.m. until Saturday at 2 a.m. One lane of eastbound Route 50 will be closed from Saturday at 3 p.m. until Sunday at 2 a.m. Signed detours are in place for motorists on Route J and Route M. The bridge is scheduled to reopen to traffic in mid-August. 

Daylight Hours
Route 50/63 between Shamrock Road and the Osage River Bridge – Roadway resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes and intersection improvements continue. Temporary lane closures are planned at the Shamrock and Liberty intersection the week of July 10. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Route D between Route 50 and Route 54 - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route H between Route E and Tavern Creek Road - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route BB between Route 17 and Route H - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route HH between Route C and Blank Road in Moniteau County - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 


Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B over the Petite Saline Creek, south of Interstate 70 - Bridge deck replacement continues. The bridge is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-July.

Route 5 between Interstate 70 and Route 50 in Morgan County – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route M over Crooked Creek, south of Keysville Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to use signed detour routes around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 19 and Route AA in Washington County – Roadway resurfacing continues. Guardrail installation and roadway striping are planned for the week of July 10. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route 19 between Route 49 and Route VV – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route AA between Route 19 and Cherryville Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route HH between Route 19 and Ollie Coleman Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

South Outer Road 44 between Route D and Route N - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Dent County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 32 over Dry Valley Creek, east of County Road 4245 – Bridge replacement continues.
       * Traffic has been shifted to the temporary bypass. Demolition of the existing bridge will begin the week of July 10. Minimal traffic impacts will take place. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.


Gasconade County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 100 over Little Berger Creek – Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is closed. Motorists are advised to use the signed detour of Route 19 and Route Z to get around the closure. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in late September.

Route EE over Dry Fork Creek, north of Bem Church Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Route F between Route 19 and Stolpe Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route Z between Route J and County Road 341– Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.

Route F between Interstate 44 and Route BB – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Interstate 44 and Route JJ – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 17 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route JJ between Route F and Route H in Camden County – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route VV between Route 5 and Lonesome Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Wednesday, July 12. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 68 over Lanes Fork, west of County Road 439 – Bridge deck rehabilitation continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in late August. 


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 52 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues.
       * Westbound traffic will be detoured around the work area. Crews will flag eastbound traffic through the work area.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work. The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route 17 between Route 42 and Route C – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route AA between Route 54 and Route C in Cole County - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route FF between Route 54 and Route A in Cole County – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Wednesday, July 19 and Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route MM between Route 54 and Devonshire Road – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Wednesday, July 19 and Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route PP between Route 52 and Route A – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place on Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours Route 50 between Coventry Drive and High Street – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route A between Route 87 and Route AA in Cole County - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 52 between Route 5 and Route Y in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder work continues. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route D between Route 50 and Route 52 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 17 through Wednesday, July 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route DD between Route 135 and Route W in Pettis County – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 and Tuesday, July 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Route 52 and Beechnut Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Osage County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route T over the Maries River, north of County Road 526 – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August. 

Daylight Hours
Route 89 between Route 28 and Route 50 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 89 between Route 50 and Route 100 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 17 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 100 between Route 50 and Chamois Power Plant Road – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled to be completed in early September.

Route B between Route 133 and Lorenzo Green Drive in Cole County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder addition continues.
       * Concrete repairs between Route M and Lorenzo Green Drive will continue through late July. Excavation will take place the week of July 10. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.


Phelps County
Daylight Hours Route 68 between Interstate 44 and Route 8 – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route F between Route 68 and County Road 3210 – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 Outer Road (Arlington Road) between Interstate 44 and Sugar Tree Road - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, north of Rustler Lane – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-July.

Route 28 over the Gasconade River – Bridge maintenance will take place on Monday, July 10. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 133 between Route 17 and Route 63 in Osage County – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life will begin on Wednesday, July 12. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area.  The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Route T between Route 17 and Route 133 – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route 7 and Raleigh Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Thursday, July 13 through Monday, July 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route 185 between Route T and the Franklin County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
