HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, Monday, July 17, a bridge rehabilitation project is planned to begin on two Missouri Route 79 bridges in Ralls County. The bridges being worked on are Quarry Road Bridge, located south of Ralls County Route T near Hannibal, and Malaruni Creek Bridge, located south of Ralls County Route E near Hannibal. MO 79 will be closed at both bridges during the project.
County Contractors, Inc. was awarded the contract for $295,670.05.
Both bridges will be closed on July 17 at 7:00 a.m. and the closures will span until August 5. Motorists will need to use alternate routes throughout the duration of the project.
Message boards will be in place notifying travelers of the closures. All roadwork is posted on the traveler information map. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones.
